Lil Wayne “No Worries” Official Lyric Video(Using DieboltDesigns Dedication 4 Cover)

This is supposedly the official LYRIC video for Wayne’s “No Worries” single which was first heard on Dedication 4. As many of you know, DieboltDesigns had the honor of designing the D4 cover. They used the cover HEAVILY in this video. Check it out.

The Weeknd “Trilogy” Cover #2

This is the second “Trilogy” cover I’ve done in a short period of time. You can find the first a few posts back. The first was more of an original idea while #2 is more realistic and ties together “House of Balloons”, “Thursday”, and “Echoes of Silence”. I tried to keep it extremely true to the original style.

“Trilogy” is due out on November 13th! It will feature 3 new songs and I’m sure lots of little surprises. The Weeknd is on his fall tour now, and in Chicago he performed a new interlude to The Birds. Check it out below!

Keem Da Dream “Daydreaming” Official Cover

Doing artwork for clients is always a really cool thing. I enjoy working with all sorts of different people and helping to make their visions become reality. When Keem(@DreamN_2Reality on Twitter) came to me and described his ideas I immediately wanted to draw this cover and make it as if it was completely a doodle by a school kid. There’s a decent amount of symbolism in this piece and it’s honestly one of my favorite covers to date. Be on the lookout for this tape, which should drop soon!

NBA 2k13 Michael Kidd-Gilchrist Cover

The NBA season is knocking at the door and if I could I would run as fast as I could and let it in. I’m a huge NBA junkie, and avid Bobcats fan. Actually I’m a Bobcats season ticket holder this year. I believe Rich Cho made a fantastic pick with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist from Kentucky. He’ll start from day 1 and be the Bobcats star of the future.

About the cover: Well if your an NBA fan, you know NBA 2K13 drops in a couple weeks. It’s looking ridiculously awesome. I’m not really a fan of this years cover because I don’t like when there’s more than one player featured. I do like all three players(Durant-Griffin-Rose…I’m a big Blake Griffin fan also) but the covers just not working for me. Of course I had to put my own spin on it.

When the game actually comes out I’ll post PS3 and 360 versions of the cover.

Kendrick Lamar “Good Kid, M.A.A.D City” Cover #2

Sometimes I just gotta do some artwork to put me in a better place before I call it a night. Tonight I did that and Kendrick Lamar’s highly anticipated project “Good Kid, M.A.A.D City” was the subject. The official artwork was released days ago and I like everything but the text. I decided to keep the Polaroid style for my cover.

G.K.M.C. is out on October 22nd. Be sure to go BUY it! Leave a comment and let me know what you think!

The Weeknd Trilogy Cover Art

Mr. Abel Tesfaye AKA “The Weeknd” is undoubtedly an artist about to really break out in the near future. He just signed his first record deal with Universal Records, and he stays associated with Drake and the OVO crew. After all, he is the XO in OVOXO. His 3 super successful mix tapes released in 2011 will be re-released as a trilogy in November. As usual when something is announced; I do some cover art. Personally I’m extremely excited for the re-release which will feature new songs. The Weeknd is going to be a major name in music in the years to come. He’s seriously great.

Specifics about my cover art: I used camo because he’s often seen wearing it, and I had to use colors that have not been used in the previous mix tape covers. I created the camo background myself. If you look closely the camo is made up of “XO’s”. Also the actually picture of The Weeknd I drew on Illustrator using my tablet, but the idea was taken from the poster for his tour with Florence and The Machine.

Look out for my complete packaging idea for the “Trilogy” soon!

Wayne had some crazy clothes on as usual and I had to put my Lil TRUKFIT Tune character(As featured on Dedication 4) in that outfit! Check out a picture from last night’s performance below!
